Precision Diagnostics:
A Clearer Picture of Your Musculoskeletal Health

Diagnostic planning at Interventional Orthopedics of Washington begins with a detailed history, focused physical examination, and review of your existing records and imaging. When clinically appropriate, the physician may recommend targeted studies such as X-rays, MRI, musculoskeletal ultrasound, or other specialized testing to better evaluate the involved joints, tendons, ligaments, nerves, or spinal structures. Findings are interpreted alongside your symptoms and examination to support a personalized, diagnosis-based treatment plan. No single test provides the entire answer, and additional evaluation or specialist referral may be recommended.

  • Detailed History & Focused Musculoskeletal Examination
  • Review of Existing X-Rays, MRI & Relevant Records
  • Targeted Imaging or Testing When Clinically Indicated
  • Findings Used to Guide Diagnosis-Based Treatment Planning

Testing and imaging are selected according to clinical need. Some studies may be completed by an outside imaging center or specialist. Abnormal findings do not always explain a patient’s symptoms, and normal imaging does not rule out every condition. Results must be interpreted together with the medical history and physical examination. Additional testing, follow-up, or referral may be recommended based on the findings.

Diagnostic Approach

Why Precision Diagnostics Matter

Most patients come to us after years of treating symptoms without clear answers. At Interventional Orthopedics of Washington, we believe that better data leads to better outcomes. That’s why we use advanced diagnostics from ultrasound and fluoroscopy to specialized lab panels and next-generation cancer screening to identify the real drivers of pain, fatigue, or disease risk.

Instead of guessing, we measure. Instead of masking, we uncover.

Precision Diagnostics FAQs

See the Whole Picture of Your Health

Answers to common questions about advanced testing, image-guided procedures, lab results, insurance, and prevention-focused care.

Not always. We recommend only the diagnostics that fit your condition, risks, and goals.

Some are, but many advanced screenings (like Galleri) are self-pay. We provide clear pricing before you proceed.

They are more accurate, safer, and improve treatment outcomes compared to "blind" injections.

Imaging is same-day. Lab panels typically return in 2–5 business days. Galleri results are available within 2–3 weeks.

They don’t guarantee prevention but they catch risks early giving you the chance to make changes before disease develops.
