Overview

Overview

Interventional Orthopedics of Washington (IOW) is a dedicated interventional orthopedics and functional medicine practice in Bellevue, Washington, treating spine and joint conditions through image-guided, non-surgical care and orthobiologics. We are hiring a board-certified or board-eligible attending physician who is already trained and ready to practice independently in image-guided procedures and orthobiologics, and who is open to learning functional medicine as part of the role.

This is a full-time, in-person clinical position, not a training fellowship. The right candidate brings established procedural skill and is looking for a long-term home to build a career and, over time, a larger stake in the practice.

What You'll Do

What You'll Do

Clinical Work

Independently evaluate, plan, and perform image-guided interventional orthopedic procedures across the spine and major joints, using the full range of orthobiologics, including PRP, bone marrow concentrate, and lipoaspirate. Perform conscious sedation as indicated, and manage the practice's tissue processing and blood draw workflows as part of routine patient care.

Functional medicine training is provided on the job; prior experience in functional medicine is not required, but a genuine willingness to learn it is.

Non-Clinical Work

Support the practice's non-clinical side alongside clinical duties, including promotional and marketing work such as video recordings, presentations to referring providers, and written content.

Serve as a visible advocate for IOW in the local medical and patient community, building referral relationships and representing the practice at community and professional events.

Who We're Looking For

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a physician who is drawn to this work because they believe in image-guided, biologic-based orthopedic care and the broader goals of functional orthopedics, not someone evaluating this purely as a transactional paycheck. This role fits best for someone who wants to build a long-term career here, cares about patient healing and outcomes, and is genuinely energized by being part of growing something rather than filling a short-term slot.

  • Fully trained and ready to practice independently as an attending physician
  • Demonstrated expertise across PRP, bone marrow concentrate, and lipoaspirate
  • Trained and comfortable performing conscious sedation
  • Familiar with tissue processing and blood draws as part of clinical workflow
  • Open to hands-on training in functional medicine
  • Comfortable being a visible advocate for the clinic in the community and with referring providers
  • Willing to support non-clinical work, including video, presentations, and written content
  • Looking for a long-term clinical home, not a short-term or transitional position
Commitment

Commitment & Schedule

This is a full-time position; part-time arrangements are not available. Start time is flexible and can be discussed, but the role requires full-time, in-person clinical availability. The schedule includes one designated administrative day per week for non-clinical work.

We are asking for a minimum two-year commitment. This reflects the practice's interest in hiring for the long term rather than a short-term or rotating role.

Long-Term Growth

Long-Term Growth

For the right physician who proves themselves clinically and culturally over time, IOW offers a path toward a long-term leadership role in the practice, with the potential for a meaningful ownership stake down the road. This is not a guarantee and depends on mutual fit, performance, and the needs of the practice at the time, but it reflects our intent to bring on someone who will grow with IOW long term rather than pass through it.
