About Interventional Orthopedics of Washington

A Smarter & Simpler Approach to Orthopedic Care

At Interventional Orthopedics of Washington (IOW), we focus on non-surgical regenerative care. Instead of masking symptoms with cortisone injections, pain meds, or jumping straight to surgery. We take a targeted and evidence-based approach that helps your body recover naturally without downtime or invasive procedures.

We treat joint pain, tendon injuries, and musculoskeletal issues by addressing what’s actually causing the problem. Our goal is to support long-term function, improve mobility, and reduce pain without adding unnecessary steps, medications, or risks.

This is orthopedic care that prioritizes precision, performance, and joint preservation.

Our Mission and Vision

Our Mission

To provide non-surgical orthopedic care that’s effective, personalized, and grounded in evidence. We focus on the root causes of pain and dysfunction, using regenerative medicine to restore joint health and reduce the need for surgery or long-term medications.

Our Vision

To change how orthopedic care is delivered. Moving away from symptom-masking treatments and toward joint-preserving functional recovery. We believe regenerative medicine is the future of musculoskeletal care, and we’re here to lead it.

Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Our doctors have opted out of all insurance networks, including Medicare. This allows them to personalize treatments based on what’s best for you, not what’s covered. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, debit, checks, and cash for all services.

What are the fees for the initial orthopedic consultation?

The initial orthopedic consultation with Dr. Silva or Dr. Sridhar is $500 for an in-office visit, which includes a full review of your records, physical exam, and diagnostic ultrasound of peripheral joints. A telemedicine consult is also available for $400 and includes record review and medical guidance, but excludes the physical and ultrasound exams. Treatment is not included in the consultation fee.

I live out of state or out of the country. Can I still see your doctors?

Yes! We offer telemedicine consultations for patients who can’t visit in person right away. You’ll receive the same level of attention and care planning as an in-office visit. We’ll coordinate everything for your trip, including exams and treatment. An all-in-one visit if needed.

Do I need an MRI before my consultation?

Dr. Silva and Dr. Sridhar don’t require X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans for your first consultation. If imaging is needed, they’ll order it. But if you already have recent scans, bring both the report and a CD copy to your appointment. This helps them assess your condition more accurately without unnecessary delays or duplicate tests.

Treatment and Procedure Questions

What can I expect at my initial orthopedic consultation?

During your first visit, our doctors will take time to understand your condition, review your records, and discuss personalized treatment options. You’ll receive a full outline of recommendations, pricing, and pre- and post-procedure instructions so you know exactly what to expect.

What is PRP?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a natural treatment made from your own blood, used to help heal injuries in joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles. It’s carefully prepared and guided by ultrasound or X-ray for precise results. PRP is not stem cell therapy but can be just as powerful for the right condition.

How much does PRP cost?

PRP treatment pricing depends on your specific needs such as the condition being treated and how many areas require care. Our fees are often lower than expected, and we provide a clear cost breakdown after your consultation so there are no surprises.

What is stem cell therapy?

Stem cell therapy at IOW uses bone marrow from your own body to support healing in joints, tendons, and ligaments. Dr. Silva and Dr. Sridhar place the cells precisely where they’re needed to improve mobility and reduce pain without surgery.

How much does stem cell therapy cost?

Stem cell therapy at IOW usually costs more than PRP due to the advanced process used to collect and prepare your cells. Dr. Silva and Dr. Sridhar provide a full cost breakdown based on your condition and treatment plan. Most patients find the price is lower than expected for the level of care they receive.

What’s the difference between autologous stem cells and donor “stem cell” products?

We use your own bone marrow cells. Some clinics offer donor products like amniotic or cord blood that contain no live stem cells. At IOW, Dr. Silva and Dr. Sridhar provide real stem cell procedures based on medical science, not marketing.

What is prolotherapy?

Prolotherapy is an injection treatment that helps the body repair loose or damaged tissue. It’s often used to strengthen joints and improve stability. Dr. Silva and Dr. Sridhar customize the solution based on your condition and guide every injection with real-time imaging.

What is regenerative medicine?

Regenerative medicine is a non-surgical way to treat pain by helping the body heal itself. We use treatments like PRP, prolotherapy, and stem cell therapy to repair tissue, restore movement, and reduce pain. Everything we do is based on real results and guided with advanced imaging.

Aftercare and Follow-up Questions

What is the recommended follow-up protocol after regenerative procedures?

Dr. Silva and Dr. Sridhar recommend a personalized plan before and after your procedure to improve results. This often includes rehab exercises, adjusting medications, and using braces if needed. Your full protocol will be discussed during your visit and designed to help you recover fully and avoid setbacks.
