About Dr. Silva

Otoño Silva, MD founder of Interventional Orthopedics of Washington in Bellevue, Washington, is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship-trained in Interventional Orthopedics which is a specialty focused on non-surgical regenerative injection therapies, including image-guided prolotherapy, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and Cellular Therapy to address common sports injuries, joint pain, neck pain, and back pain complaints.

Dr. Silva completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, followed by a fellowship at the Centeno-Schultz Clinic, the International HQs of Regenexx, making him one of the most uniquely trained and highly skilled experts in the field.

Dr. Silva has a passion for developing a partnership with his patients to work towards their optimal health with an integrative approach. He believes in addressing the root cause of joint pain, degeneration, and disease and focuses on therapies that provide long-term improvement in function and reduced or eliminated pain without the use of anti-inflammatory medications, which commonly only offer temporary symptomatic relief and may lead to increased disease and degeneration.

Since starting his own independent clinic in Washington, Dr. Silva continues to expand his skills and knowledge by conducting research in Interventional Orthopedics to advance the field and provide education and training to patients and other practitioners alike. He also instructs courses for the Interventional Orthopedics Foundation (IOF) around the country to share his advanced knowledge and pass these skills on to other qualified physicians.

Dr. Silva hosted and instructed the first-ever Interventional Orthopedics Foundation course outside of the organization’s HQ in Colorado at his Bellevue clinic in September 2019.
